“Hustlers of Serra Kunda” – a photographic exhibition by Marj Clayton continues at the Pictograph Art Gallery until September 24th. Take the time to read the captions under each photograph, and learn about the lives of these men and women of The Gambia.
Marj Clayton received an Exhibition Assistance Grant from the Ontario Arts Council to assist with her show. This grant helps with exhibition costs such as framing. The Gallery is currently accepting applications for these grants including those artists who may be exhibiting in another Gallery. Call Andrea Allison (597-2554) for more information.
Check out the ‘Park Your Art’ easel in the Gallery. We have a new item on display. The framed photograph of a young fawn was donated to the Gallery by Stephen Krasemann. It would make a wonderful gift.
The Gallery is back to our regular hours: Tuesday – Saturday from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. We are so fortunate to have a great group of volunteers who staff the Gallery during these hours, and we thank them for their dedication. Drop by the lower level of Voyageur Mall, and see our latest exhibit.
