Lori McCluskey
Joe Mahronic’s Show entitled “Moving On” opened on Saturday, June 4 to a warm reception. The Gallery is delighted to once again be hosting Joe’s show. Literally he is moving on to “digital photography”. For a long while Joe was against digital and to a degree still is. However the technology has advanced to such a degree and combined with the scarcity of traditional materials it has forced him to reluctantly join the “digital world”. Come down and see this major step. Joe has combined his black and whites with his digitals in a fascinating way. It tells a story of transition. “ Moving On” will run until June 28.

Don’t forget to check out our newly renovated gift shop and used book shelves. Should you be on the lookout for something new, unusual, and handcrafted , the Gallery Gift Shop is the place to go. We have lovely jewelry by Arlene Spilchuk, Gabrielle Mahronic and Andrea Goold. These beautiful pieces are one of kind. We also have gorgeous hand carved miniature wooden houses, puzzle key chains and lovely angels by local woodcarver Guy Perron. And of course we also have the most amazing pottery by our own Andrea Allison. Take a few minutes while you a viewing Joe’s photography to browse through our Gift Shop.

Also remember the “Park Your Art” easel. It is currently displaying a fantastic print called “Canadian Pride”. This wonderful piece could easily grace anyone’s living room, dining room or entryway. Have a look and just maybe this is the answer to that hard to find wedding or anniversary gift that you have been looking for.

The Gallery is currently open from 12:00 to 3:00 from Tuesday to Saturday. We will soon be switching to our extended summer hours. Keep posted for more details.

Thank you for stopping in to see our Gallery and Gift Shop.
We hope you enjoyed your visit and will return.
