April 20, 2010

'Kids make like so colourful! I remember how special I felt when my artwork was in here, I'm sure this means the world to the students.' This comment in our guestbook certainly reflects the effort in putting toether this show entitled 'CREATIVE MINDS 3'. All of the artwork shown is done by students from North Star, St. Pat's and the Atikokan High School, as well as children from Rainbow Daycare Centre. It is our pleasure to exhibit their works, and you can still see the show until its closing on April 24th. The Gallery hours are from Tuesday to Saturday, 12 noon to 3:00 p.m.

Downstairs in the hallway by the Gallery, are shelves containing used books for sale. Support for this sale comes from individuals who kindly donate books, or magazines, usually anonymously. So, to those anonymous donors, we say a BIG thank you. Stop by and check out the four new bags of books we have placed on the shelves.

Next month, the Gallery is pleased to present works by a Thunder Bay artist, Janice Andrews, in a show entitled "Turning Towards Home". This exhibit will feature vibrant acrylic paintings, and opens on May 1st. Stop by and welcome this new artist to our Gallery and our community.

Make sure you visit the Gallery on your next trip downtown, or visit us at www.atikokanpictographgallery.com
