Atikokan Pictograph Gallery Andrea Allison Ashley Lange’s exhibit "Happiness; a manner of travel" continues at the gallery Tues.-Sat., noon to 3 pm until March 27. Last week I shared some of the happiness quotes that accompany the paintings. Here are some more: WONDER "The best way to secure future happiness is to be as happy as rightfully possible to-day" Charles W. Elliot. LEARNING "Remember: Everyone got to be where he is, had to begin from where he was" Jim Carlson DREAMS "No one has ever injured his eyesight by looking on the bright side of things" Unknown Author CELEBRATON "Happiness comes when your work and words are of benefit to yourself and others" Buddha SERENITY "Happiness is not a state to arrive at, but a manner of travelling" Margaret Lee Runbeck "If only we’d stop trying to be happy we’d have a pretty good time" Edith Wharton. CELEBRATION is a painting of a parade scene in Peru. Another painting BEAUTY features a Nym Lake scene. Four young ladies stopped in at the Gallery on Saturday March 13. They were enjoying March break. They were looking at the paintings and were taken with the one where text had been painted over leaving certain words visible. The gallery gives something different to everyone. Even if it's only one small thing that catches your eye each exhibit is worth visiting. Thanks for coming.
Remember the gift shop when you are out shopping. We carry handmade items from local and regional artists. Some upcoming exhibits include "Creative Minds" School Art in April and Brian Holden’s "Wilderness" in June. Brian will also be giving a printmaking workshop June 25-26. More information on this workshop coming in mid April. Circle those dates on the calendar now. It promises to be an exciting workshop.
Thank you for stopping in to see our Gallery and Gift Shop.
We hope you enjoyed your visit and will return.
