Hello all! Currently at the Pictograph Gallery, we are all very busy getting set up for the Awards Gala and Opening Reception this weekend, bustling back and forth to get everything here in time, barely giving us time to breathe! I hardly had time to write the article this week! All artists` work should have been handed in to me or a board member already, along with a short explanation about the pieces. If you haven`t done so, please contact me as soon as possible so we can get that done.
The Gala is this Friday, when the pieces will be viewed and judged by our panel of judges from the Northern Ontario area. The judges are Mr. John Rafferty, Ann Clarke, Louise Thomas, and Anne Siciliano. The exhibition will open to the public the following day, on Saturday, August the 8th, where you can view the pieces yourself and put in your ballot for People`s Choice Award. At the end of the exhibition, we will tally up the votes to see who gets to take the prize home!
As I mentioned last week, the Gallery will be closed on the 7th while we set-up for the Reception, but open the next day. There`s some truly beautiful pieces in, and I genuinely suggest you stop in to see it all!
We`re open Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 to 4:00, so stop in and see me! We`re located in the lower level of the Voyageur Mall!
