This last weekend we closed Vanessa Keeash’s exhibition, Forgetting Yourself, at The Pictograph Gallery. We had a very good turnout this month with the exhibition, and as I am writing this, we’ve had over 200 people come in to see Vanessa’s work! We were also able to sell a few pieces as well. As a fellow artist, I know it is a good day when you can sell a piece of your work! Sad as it is to see her work go, Vanessa will have bigger places to go with her art, and as a representative of the Gallery, I would like to thank Vanessa for exhibiting with us. Thank you Vanessa!
The deadline for submitting your art to the Quetico Juried Art Exhibition is the 30th of July, unless you are unable to drop off your work, in which case you are to make arrangements with me at the Gallery, so we can find a mutually convenient time. The latest day you can bring in work is August 4th, which will give us enough time to set up and display the pieces, as well as prepare for the Awards Gala, which takes place in the 7th of August. Because of this, we will be closed on the 7th to prepare for the Gala. Artists, judges and special guests will be receiving their invitation in the mail. This is an invitation-only event, sorry!
Of course, the exhibition opens to the public the next day, on August 8th, where you can view the work and see who took top prize! I know you’re just as excited as I am to come see the work, but please do not bombard me at 11:00 sharp, a girl needs her time to get set up for a busy day like that! Just kidding!
As you all know, we are open Monday to Saturday, 11 to 4, and we are located in the lower level of the Voyageur Mall.
