This past weekend at The Pictograph Gallery we opened with Vanessa Keeash’s exhibit, Forgetting Yourself, a beautiful collection of paintings and drawings in various mediums by the local artist. Vanessa has been studying Fine Arts at Georgian College, recently completing her third year, and I am very pleased to be able to work with her and have the opportunity to present her art. This will be my first exhibition of the summer, and I’m very excited. Vanessa has tremendous skill when it comes to art, and I can’t wait to help her display her work. Vanessa’s art will be displayed in the Pictograph Gallery until July 25th, so stop in and see her skill as an artist.
We’re still accepting applications into the Quetico Open Juried Art Exhibition up until July 15th, so get your entry forms in now! The pieces of art themselves are to be handed in July 28th to the 30th, with judging taking place on the 7th of August, and the exhibition opening on the 8th.
Remember, the Pictograph Gallery is open Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., so stop in and say hello, take a look around and visit our gift shop, which has various local artisans’ art and handiwork for sale. We are located in the lower level of the Voyageur Mall.
